For the Love of the World

A Letter To Prince aka the Artist

Hi -

I remember sitting in my office at Pro-Tym-Systems in Bellevue, Washington, in the Microsoft Building... you know MSNBC, GE, Ampex, Todd, all that stuff.. oh yeah, Warner Bros. anyway... I sat there listening to "I Would Die 4 U" and "Baby I'm A Star" and kept thinking to myself while chair-dancing, hey, these songs could be about me. :} Someday, you'll laugh at this too.

Dear Mr Man... Just how many letters do I need to write? And, how do you like my blue guitar? Whaddya want me to do next? Run for President? :}

I published that picture of you in the pink tu-tu... thought, well, if that's what you want to put out, I'll publish it. :} I used to sit and giggle at your "marketing".   Then I heard "When Doves Cry"... boy did I get that one... and then, "Purple Rain"... took me a while to get that part... but I did. My color's blue.

I though it was really interesting when CNN played the cut about the girl turned terrorist... then I listened to "Dear Mr. Man" and got a little worried that you and other people were angry with me. Shows you how dense I can be sometimes when dealing with all this code... you know, girl (boy)

The funny part is, I've emailed and faxed Paisley Park at least a couple of times with this book called "For the Love of the World"... I think you got the 56 page version :}  remember the time you told Warner you could give them 5 or 6 albums just off the B-Sides... heard a report of you storming through the hallways in Burbank raising a fuss. I keep joking these guys that I think it'll be funny when you find out that Clive Davis cooperated with these guys in the PsyOps to contain me.

Have you checked out the church on Time.Com? Probably isn't there any more, but it was promoting a church they kind of seem to be wanting to use to "capture" the new "universal" church... you know, hijacking religions... like the Bahai Faith... look what they did to Jehovah's Witnesses, and I think JW's espouse some of the most honest interpretations of the Bible I've heard from the "Spiritual Walkers" as Stevie Wonder would call them. Mormons are cool, too.

This is the real home of  "For the Love of the World"... I sent you something like this copy. You should see what the Psyops guys tried to get me to send to... well let's just say I sent the same version to you, Jackson Browne, Billy Preston, David Pack, Leon Russell, Three Dog night and a consortium of old artists who seemed to be on track... a whole bunch of folks who seem to be singing "someone else's songs" like James Taylor would say...

The funny thing is, you guys keep singing these songs, and I keep trying to contact ya'll and say, are YOU for real, and nobody ever gets back to me... which I'm kind of getting used to, since I can't even get veterinary care for my dog.

Still, I look forward to hearing about your reaction when you find out that what I'm telling you is true. I may or not be able to prove it to you... and I used to be a big fan of Clive Davis, you know, like an industry hero, but now I realize that even he just sees artists as products, like pieces of meat...

We're about to get the Family of Artists and Musicians going, finally, maybe, especially if even one of you guys looking for God would help. Billy Preston was going to join in, but he died of symptoms similar to alot of people suffering psychotronic and microwave/maser attacks, so they say. It's a shame I didn't take him up on his offer to go to his ranch in Topanga years ago... just about the time I attended your first "Pro" concert at the Roxy, courtesy of Warner Bros. Records.

Whu wouldn't you look at the audience?

BTW: Rolling Stone said the same thing about you as I did.. the greatest thing to come along since Smokey Robinson and Stevie Wonder... course, I love Michael too. Can't wait 'til you cut an album together.

What a dance party.

Love ya.

PS: Can you teach me to do the Moon Walk? He doesn't seem to be answering either :} Paisley's my favorite.
