Now here's a sermon for the day, taken straight from a book my mother gave me, also
given to her in 1902, I believe from my grandmother. The book is Matins & Vespers...
and so far, the 2 books she';s given me have all been 100% accurate. I breathed a sigh of
relief, in a way, after reading these passages.
O praise the Lord which dwelleth in Sion: show the people of his doings.
For when he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them; and forgeteth not the
complaints of the poor.
Have mercy upon me, oh Lord; consider the trouble which I suffer of them that hate me:
thou that liftest me up from the gates of death;
That I may show all thy praises within the ports of the daughter of Sion: I will
rejoice in thy salvation.
The heathen are sunk down in thh pit that they made: in the same net which they hid
privily is their foot taken.
The Lord is known to execute judgment: the ungodly is trapped in the work of his own
hands.

The princes of the people are joined unto the people of the God of Abraham: for God,
which is very high exalted, doth defend the earth, as it were with a shield.
